How To Become A Christian

The “Roman Road” is a simple way to understand the gospel message of salvation.

1. We all have sinned.
   “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
   Everybody messed up(sin), and our mess ups separated us from God.

2. Sin has consequences.
   “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
   Sin leads to spiritual death and eternal separation from God.

3. God provided a way.
   “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
   Because God loves us, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to lay his own life down as a sacrifice taking on the death that we deserve.

1 Corinthians 15 :3–4, tells us that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. The resurrection proves that Jesus truly conquered sin and death.

4. We must respond in faith.
   “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

To become a Christian:

• Admit you are a sinner.

• Believe that Jesus died and rose again for you.

• Confess Him as Lord.

• Trust in Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life.

Salvation is not earned by good works, you can never be good enough, it is received by faith.

When you place your trust in Jesus Christ, God forgives you your sins, gives you a new life, and adopts you into His family.

That is the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
